Lowkey forgot about this, but I must lock in again. Dinner ended up being my least favorite food (pork barbecue, sorry if this offends anyone). So I regret not just stopping for a damn chicken sandwich.

I’ve had a busy break already. My sister had a dance competition in Washington, DC, so I came as her chaperone. It was pretty fun. I got to be her makeup artist as well, which I always enjoy. Since I moved from here, I don’t really do that work anymore unless I happen to be in town during homecoming or prom season. I used to always do my sister’s dance makeup. She loved it and said she felt like a celebrity.

Now I’m home dog sitting for most of the week and trying to come up with fun things to do aside from my responsibilities. I’ve been thinking about trying to make sourdough. I like watching sourdough tutorials and it could be a cool thing to get into since I already like baking so much. Starter takes weeks to make though so I hit up a local sourdough bakery on instagram and asked if I could get a bit of theirs. They said yes! So I’m getting that tomorrow morning and beginning my experimentation.

Today, I made eggs and some blueberry french toast for breakfast. Then, I took on the arduous task of bathing 3 dogs, all of whom HATE being bathed. It’s so hard because they don’t understand that it’s good for them, so they look at me like they hate me. And by that I mean, they don’t look at me at all. Mocha was the most scared and I had to save her for last. Mocha would rather stare at a wall than face me as I scrub her from top to bottom. Afterwards, she just looked upset and violated. Two treats was not enough and I am still getting the silent treatment.

After that, I had to take a long shower and deep clean the wet dog scent off. I’ve gotta do laundry and clean my brother’s bathroom (sorry Santiago, but at least you get to be in Hawaii right now). Now I’m sitting down and eating a chicken bowl with rice, kale, feta, avocado, beans, grilled corn and cilantro lime salsa. I picked it up from a local place and it’s definitely my favorite meal to get at home. The best part is they’re pretty big, so this will also be my dinner tonight.
